ECCM Bank Plc was granted a banking licence in terms of Article 7 (1) of the Banking Act 1994 on 1 July 2014 after all the necessary regulatory, due diligence and compliance procedures were completed. It was officially inaugurated on Friday, 1 August 2014 by the Prime Minister of Malta. The Bank was bought from Raiffeisen Bank International AG completing a sale/purchase agreement signed in December 2013.
ECCM Bank Plc is based in Sliema, Malta and offers banking services to international corporate clients. Such banking services include short term and long term lending, the taking of deposits, payment services and safekeeping and administration of securities in terms of the Banking Act 1994. The Bank is regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority, Malta’s single regulator for financial services activity.
The Bank’s paid up share capital is €117.7 million.
